Cricket Moods 3.1

I just posted a new version of Cricket Moods. This release is a maintenance release with one bug fixed. The plugin will now automatically work out of the box if the WordPress install is located in a subdirectory of the root domain.

If you just installed Cricket Moods and can’t see any of the wonderful similies or are getting an error like the following (emphasis added):

Warning: dir(/home/example/public_html/wp-includes/images/smilies/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/example/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/cricket-moods.php on line 579

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/example/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/cricket-moods.php on line 580

you must change your “Mood image directory” option to reflect the location of your blog. In this case the user would change it to /wordpress/wp-includes/images/smilies.

It will not be necessary to change this option with new Cricket Moods 3.1 installs. If you are updating from 3.0 or are still using 3.0, then you will have to change your “Mood image directory” option.

    Translated to everyone elses language:

“I am a nerd. While you are out being not a nerd I create brilliant things for you to use that make all your friends think you’re even cooler. I own your computers soul.”

I’d say that’s some clever form of human-posted spam, but there’s no links anywhere in the comment. Therefore, I’ll assume that’s a legitimate “question.” In response, I’ve added my contact information to the About section. My contact info is also on the Cricket Moods project page and in the Cricket Moods README.

I want to use your plugin, but when I try to download it, the page in your link above (and all other links I can find) is some generic page that’s used when a domain name expires.

How can I get your plugin?

I just d/l’d and installed Cricket Moods and am having a bunch of fun with it. Thank you for creating it. Now a questions. I also have a ‘mini-blog’ on my left sidebar that also displays the mood and I’d rather it didn’t. Since I’m braindead when it comes to php, do you know of a fix for this? Thanks again.

Bev: I think the best option there is to not choose any moods when you post an aside.

I just downloaded your most recent version of Cricket Moods. I’ve never used it before, so I’m not doing the upgrade. Everything is working so far, but there are no smilie graphics. In the zip file there was just the plugin and the screenshots. Where are the preset smilies?

Just wanna say this plugin is awesome :) I want to use it as a weather indicator, but I want to remove the Current Mood: that precedes the mood icons. Is there any way to do this, please?

    Thank you very much!
